Google I/O 2018 is full of the announcement mainly focused on A.I. But there are many announcements from Google all the way from the ambitious Android P update to the John Legend ‘s voice on Google Assistant.

Android P was one of the main attraction of the I/O 2018 and this time Google is ditching the three-button navigation and going forward the gesture-based system just like the iPhone X. The Android P also features a new Dashboard which will show the time you spend with your device, including time spent in apps, how many notifications and how many times you’ve unlocked your phone. It also features an A.I. powered battery saver. Android P is coming later this summer but there are handful devices from Google, Essential, Sony, Nokia, and more which are eligible for the public beta.
NEW GOOGLE ASSISTANT VOICES
Google Assistant will be getting more voices and one of the voices of John Legend. Not only that Google Assistant will sound more natural just like a person.

One of the most jaw-dropping moment of Google I/O when Google Assitant makes a call to hair saloon and makes the appointment in a conversation that legitimately sounded like two humans talking to each other. The most interesting is that the Google Assitant doesn’t feel like a robotic voice and even the employee at salon doesn’t even recognize that they were talking to an A.I.
SMART DISPLAYS WITH GOOGLE ASSISTANT COMING THIS SUMMER
At Google I/O, Google announced the first Smart Displays with built-in Assistant. At the demo, they showed the display pulling up Jimmy Kimmel Live on YouTube TV.
GMAIL CAN NOW DRAFT EMAILS FOR YOU
Google has used A.I. for the Gmail. For Gmail Google has developed a Smart Compose which uses AI to draft emails from scratch, faster. Actually, the AI will give you suggestion so you can type faster emails. This feature will allow users to type faster emails. Smart Compose is coming to the Gmail in upcoming weeks.
GOOGLE MAPS IS GETTING WAY MORE SOCIAL
Maps also get a revamp and this time it goes on full-on social experience. There will be a new tab which lets you follow specific neighbourhoods to see a new business like restaurants, shops etc. Not only that you can also communicate with your friend in real time while finding a good restaurant.
AUGMENTED REALITY DIRECTIONS
Google Maps also get a combination of AR and AI. Now you can navigate to a new city and just point the camera and Google will provide you with a street view with an interactive AR turn-by-turn experience. There will also be a little fox to help you to navigate.
GOOGLE PHOTOS WITH SMART EDITING
Google Photos is now combined with AI which will give enough power to it so that it can separate subjects from the background in photos. Not only that you can even colourize your old black and white photos. AI will analyze all of your photos in the gallery and give recommendations to fix or enhance those images.
GOOGLE NEWS CURATED BY AI
Google’s news app is also getting an AI enhancement. Now the AI will analyze all the content on the web in real time, and organize all of those articles, videos, and more into stories on a timeline. The news app can also post all the articles in which you might be interested in and puts them in the briefing.
GOOGLE LENS CAN NOW COPY TEXT FROM THE REAL WORLD
Google has also demonstrated a demo fo Google Lens and how it combines with AI. Now you just have to click a picture of a document and you will be able to select and copy text written on the document on your phone.
GOOGLE LENS HELP YOU BUY THINGS
Now with the help of Google Lens, you can identify the items of clothing and directly purchase them. The Lens app has introduced a new “style match” feature in which you will scan something from the camera and the app will help you buy it from the internet.
