Lenovo A5 – A $100 budget smartphone announced

Along with the Lenovo Z5 and the Lenovo K5 Note, Lenovo also announced their budget smartphone the Lenovo A5. It is the cheapest offering from Lenovo which has an 18:9 aspect ratio display.

The Lenovo A5 sports a 5.45-inch 18:9 display with (1440 × 720 pixels) HD+ resolution and this display are protected by 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 64-bit processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and comes in two storage variants of 16GB & 32GB storage. It is a dual sim device with dedicated microSD card slot to expand the storage and also has 4G VoLTE capabilities.

The Lenovo A5 runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) out of the box with ZUI 3.9 Lite on top. In terms of camera, it has a single rear camera of 13MP with LED Flash and f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there is an 8MP snapper for selfies. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone. Everything on this device is juiced up by a 4000mAh battery.

The Lenovo A5 will only be available in China as of now and it comes in Black, Gold and Rose Gold colors. The price of 16GB storage version is 599 yuan (Roughly $ 93 / Rs. 6,290).
