Nokia X6 announced – A Sub 15k smartphone with a Notch

HMD Global has launched their latest Nokia smartphone under the new Nokia X series the Nokia X6. The smartphone is currently available only in China. It is the first Nokia phone which comes with a notch on the top of the display.

The Nokia X6 sports a 5.8-inch display with  Full HD+ and 19:9 aspect ratio along with a notch. It is the first Nokia phone powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage which is expandable with MicroSD. It runs on stock Android 8.1 Oreo.

The Nokia X6 packs dual rear cameras on which one is a 16-megapixel RGB sensor and another is a  5-megapixel monochrome sensor, Together these cameras are able to shoot  AI portrait and also has a capability of scene recognition. There is also a 16MP shooter on the front with AI portrait selfies along with stickers and face unlock.

The Nokia X6 also has a fingerprint sensor on the glass back. It is a dual sim device and interestingly both the sims can be used for VoLTE simultaneously. The smartphone is backed up by a 3060mAh battery which supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 that can charge from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes.

The Nokia X6 will be available in Blue, Black and Silver colors. The price of 4GB RAM and 32GB storage variant is 1499 yuan (US$ 236 / roughly Rs. 15,980) and the top-end 6GB RAM and 64GB storage version cost 1699 yuan (US$ 266 / roughly Rs. 18,090). The Nokia X6 will go on sale from May 21st in China and there is info about the global launch of the device.
