Xiaoi has announced a bunch of smart TVs in China. There are four new Mi TV 4 models with 4k and HDR capabilities and these are Mi TV 4S 55-inch curved 4K HDR TV, Mi TV 4X 55-inch and Mi TV 4S 43-inch 4K HDR TV. And there is also another HD TV which is 32 inch Mi TV 4C. All of these TVs are smart and have Xiaomi’s in-house PatchWall UI on top of the Android OS which also packs deep learning AI technology that can curate content based on recommendations. Not only that for Audiophiles these TVs also feature DTS Audio.
All of these 4K TVs come with a multi-purpose Mi Remote Control, which has both Bluetooth and infrared technology to control the TV and the set-top box. Not only that the remote also has Speech Recognition for voice control.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 4S is a 55-inch curved TV which sports a 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution. The display comes with an 8ms dynamic response time, 60Hz refresh rate and 178-degree viewing angle. The Mi TV 4S runs on a quad-core Amlogic processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. For connectivity, the TV has WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 / 5GHz) and Bluetooth 4.2. In terms of ports, it has 3 x HDMI, AV, 2 x USB, 1 x Ethernet port. The TV packs 2 x 8W speaker for audio.
The Mi TV 4X is a flat 55-inch (3840 x 2160 pixels) 4K resolution LED TV. It also has display 178-degree viewing angle, 8ms dynamic response and 60Hz refresh rate. The TV is powered by the quad-core Amlogic processor and have 2GB RAM and 8GB internal memory. It also features dual-band AC WiFi and Bluetooth. The TV has 3 x HDMI, AV, 2 x USB, 1 x Ethernet port. It is an HDR TV with HDR 10 HLG, H.264, H.265, Real, MPEG1/2/4, WMV3, VC-1 support. In terms of audio, the TV has 2 x 8W speaker and DOLBY AUDIO / DTS- HD audio dual decoding.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 4S is a budget 4K 43-inch TV. It also has similar specification as per those TVs mentioned above. There is a quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. It also has a same 178-degree viewing angle, 8ms dynamic response and 60Hz refresh rate panel. It is also an HDR TV with 2 x 6W speaker and DOLBY AUDIO / DTS- HD audio dual decoding.
For normal users, the best budget offering form Xiaomi is Mi TV 4C 32-inch HD TV with a resolution of (1366×768 pixels). It also has 178-degree viewing angle and 6.5ms dynamic response time. It runs on 1.5GHz Multi-Core 64-bit processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal memory. It has a single band WiFi for connectivity and in terms of ports, the TV packs 2 x HDMI, AV, USB 2.0 x 1, Ethernet and S/PDIF port. The TV has an MIUI TV OS based on Android OS with PatchWall UI. The TV supports H.264, H.265, MPEG1/2/4 file formats. For audio, the Mi TV has 2 x 8W speaker and DTS- HD audio support.
The curved Mi TV 4S with 55-inch display costs 3299 yuan (US$ 516 / roughly Rs. 34,990) whereas the flat Mi TV 4X with a 55-inch display is priced at 2799 yuan (US$ 438 / roughly Rs. 29,690). On the other hand, the Mi TV 4S 43-inch and the basic Mi TV 4C 32-inch HD TV will be available at a price of 1799 yuan (roughly US$ 280 / Rs. 19,000) and 999 yuan (US$ 155 / Rs. 10,600 approx.) respectively. All of these TVs will go on sale only in China from May 31st.
