iPhone X is the Best-Selling Smartphone of World in 2018

The iPhone X has sold a lot in the first quarter of 2018 that’s why it became the world’s best selling smartphone. Apple has shipped over 29 million units. But there was a report last month which suggested that the demand for iPhone X is not that high and Apple was cutting back on iPhone X.

This report has been produced by the Strategy Analytics’ Smartphone Model Tracker (SMT) service. It also reveals that the global smartphone shipments reached 345.4 million units in the first quarter of 2018. Apple has shipped over whopping 16 million units of the iPhone X. It means the iPhone X has captured 5 percent of the total market.

The best smartphone after the iPhone X which tops in sales figure is the iPhone 8 which sells 12.5 million units globally in the first quarter of this year. The iPhone 8 Plus grabs the third spot in the list with 8.3 million units shipped. And the most interesting thing is that the fourth spot is captured by the iPhone 7 which sells 5.6 million units in the same time period.

The 5th most selling smartphone in quarter 3 of 2018 is the Xiaomi Redmi 5A which sells 5.4 million and it is the cheapest phone in the list as it costs Rs. 6000 in India. Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy S9 Plus sells 5.3 million units globally in the first quarter.
